This filly is beyond gorgeous, and she knows it. Something about her is just a little sleeker, a little more feminine, and a little more conformed than most. She knows she's a looker, and she doesn't want anyone to forget it. When going out to the pasture fence, she'll be the first horse to greet the humans - often time she'll see them early enough to be waiting. She's the sort to put on a show because she loves the oohs and aahs of an audience. She'll spin away from the fence, trot around with almost floating strides, and buck and prance like the free spirit she is. She's a little like her sire in the fact she can be a little wary of strangers coming close - she'll perform for anyone, pose for any camera, but if they get within a few feet she's a little more cautious. If her people don't mind the stranger, though, she'll calm down quickly enough. There are very few this filly doesn't end up liking, if only because they give her attention. She's a bold filly, and not afraid of much - if she spooks, it's likely by design. She's careful of where her humans are, so she doesn't put anyone in danger with it, but if she's looking for some attention she'll kick up a fuss at the smallest things. Normally she's not neglected to the point it comes to that, though. She's playful when being groomed - if she's not tied, she'll walk in circles around the groom, pick up or knock over brush boxes, or stretch almost like a cat if she's getting a really good brushing. She's normally left untied unless they're in a hurry simply because her sweet personality is fun to be around. When the saddle comes out, she knows it's game time. When being saddled she gets just a little more excited, fidgeting and even letting out a whinny here or there, but she isn't too much of a handful. The closer she gets to the track, the more excited she gets - she often ends up prancing sideways next to her handler, not even realizing she's doing it. The easiest way to get her to straighten up is to walk her by the cameras. Dia knows when she's being watched and admired, and her whole manner will change. Suddenly she's not a fidgety young female. Instead she's a gracious, stunning model, walking with extended, gorgeous strides and a prettily arched next. She'll stop and pose if given half a chance. It's really the best way to slow her down if she's getting too excited. It's the same when she's finally out on the track itself, though at that point she's got her head more in the game than on posing. But she still lifts her knees a little higher and flags her tail when she's going by the stands for the post parade, just to show them all she's there to run. She's an unforgettable sort of filly, and she's already wormed her way into the hearts of the staff.

While she's a crowd-pleaser for her antics outside of the race, she's a crowd-pleaser for a whole different reason when it's game time. Dia loads well, and is always on her toes when the gates snap open. She breaks fast, but lets off the steam as her competition takes their places ahead of her. She's a very patient runner, for all that she's a frolicking youngling out of a race. She bides her time around the turn. If the pace is fast, she'll wait until the stretch to kick in and run after the tiring leaders. If the pace is slower, she'll start slowly moving up on the later half of the turn, then really slingshot out of it. What really gets her excited is a battle down the stretch - she rarely pulls away to win by lengths. Instead she fights and gives her best against an opponent. The stronger the opponent, she better she performs. Then she gives her heart right before the wire, doing anything she can to get her nose in front. She's a true champion and heart, and she loves the thrill of competition. And, above all else, she loves the attention that comes in the winner's circle, where she truly shines.
